During late 2020 the club actively commissioned the services of a professional boat builder to start the process to completely refurbish our fleet of specialist fly fishing boats during 2021 and 2022. October 2022 and we now only two boats in the fleet still that are with our boat builder. Both due back by the end of the year and we will have completed this major task.  We will of course still each year complete general maintenance on the fleet but the major work of complete new gunwales, seats etc will have been done and should last 20yrs. 

The results have been impressive with the returned boats having bilge pumps and newly inbuilt buoyancy tanks.

Boat 2, arrives back at the lakes.  Hard to believe it looked like below, once the boat builder had stripped her back to basics just 2 months earlier, before totally re-building her for us……………

2 New boats for 2021; The club also purchased two new Scandinavian un-sinkable plastic boats to add to the two purchased a few years earlier. These boats are really easy to row and suit the single angler well.
