Winter fishing, that is, fishing outside the standard UK trout fishing season, was  introduced as a ‘bonus’ to our members, made possible when our landowner granted ‘defined’ access to our club waters during the angling close season.
Such access is not a right, and is subject to annual renewal. We are permitted to fish during this period as the lakes are classed as landlocked, so the UK close period regulations are inapplicable.
Since its introduction, winter fishing continues to increase in popularity, and year-on-year attendance figures confirm this, as do the feedback reports we receive from these hardy anglers !

Winter fishing in NOT ALLOWED on Fridays or Saturdays under any circumstance.  The lakes are closed to ALL members on Fridays & Saturdays during the Winter season as the Shooting club hold events.
